Francisco started his PhD at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden under supervision of Henrik Zetterberg. He has a background in Molecular Biology and Genetics and grew interest in neurodegenerative diseases during his master thesis. The main objective of his work is to develop improved immunoassays for detection of novel biomarkers specific to frontotemporal dementia.
