Nerea has started her PhD in the Neurochemistry and Neuroscience group at Ulm University (Germany). She has a background in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine, and she has previously work in different universities around Europe, both in neuroscience and cancer research. The main objective of her doctoral degree is to develop and validate novel assays (immunoassays and mass-spectrometry assays) for candidate biomarkers for frontotemporal dementia, the most common type of young onset dementia after Alzheimer’s disease.
