Early Stage Researcher 3: Dea Gogishvili

Dea has started her Ph.D. in bioinformatics group at VU Amsterdam. She has a background in chemistry and innovative medicine with research experience in academia and industry. The main objective of her doctoral research is to study structural rearrangement and surface accessibility of biomarkers and understand changes in solubility and availability in different media including CSF and blood. Later on she will carry out experimental work using HDX-MS and XL-MS to study surface accessibility for bound and unbound states of the proteins of interest, simulate protein structure ensembles and link her findings with Katharina’s (ESR2) results.
